Transparent

"Thank you", the teachers said when we paid them at the end of the class. And this was the only word they ever told us in the whole 90 minutes we spent with them. My partner felt a bit angry for not getting any attention. Four other couples of pupils were there and they got their share of corrections, hints, help; the guys had a chance to lead the female teacher, and the male one checked the girls as well.

"Do you think they don't like us, and want us to leave?", she suggested.
Sure it was not the vast number of people that prevented the teachers from coming to us, as we were 10 students.
Maybe we were doing fine and there was nothing to correct. Ha ha. Unlikely, as two of the other couples were A.T teachers themselves and despite of this got a lot of advices and help.
Maybe, on the opposite, we were hopeless and they felt no need to waste their time with our incurable bad habits coming from ballroom and salsa. But then we would have felt hopeless too. And yesterday I was feeling comfortable with all the exercises.

Why then were they acting like we were transparent? Maybe, our imperfections regarding the volcadas (what the class was about), and which would have required corrections, were hidden by more profound, essential weaknesses like tension in the upper body, bad abrazo, unsufficient hip/chest twist, whatever. It might be that.

Or maybe, these teachers who built a very progressive and coherent series of classes, a long-term one where you're supposed to attend week after week after week for years, are feeling somewhat offended when seeing us skip most of their classes since we signed in.
