Whosaidit?

An easy little quiz; Here are words that I heard during one class or another. A famous teacher is talking to (or about) his partner.
the line-up: Carlos Gavito, Osvaldo Zotto, Sebastian Arce, Gustavo Naveira.
Who said what?

"They're pupils, they have the right to make mistakes. But you, I pay you to dance well."

[leaving a message on the cell phone] "Ok I don't know where you are or what you're doing, but I know it's 6 o'clock and
Pablo is here and I am here and you're not here. So if you happen to be doing some shopping, then maybe you may consider buying a watch!"

"Pay attention pupils, and you too, Maria."

[talking to pupils while demonstrating the steps] "She cannot do the pattern just like that, I have first to walk her for a while, to make her sleep, like a baby."

Pay attention pupils...was Carlos Gavito, because Maria Plazaola was learning while she was his partner for two years.

The last one I'll guess was from Gustavo Naveira.

I won't give Osvaldo Zotto credit for the other quotes, but Sebastian Arce probably embarrassed his partner with one of those quotes.

You are studying with a wide variety.
Osvaldo Zotto -- Antonio Todaro style--all figures
Sebastian Arce and Gustavo Naveira are tango nuevo which is only useful for exhibitions or showing off.
Gavito was best for drama on stage because he liked to pause so much and you can't do that in the milongas.

Enough lessons. It's time for you to find your own personal style like the milongueros did when they were young.

It's an easy quiz.
Back from one CITA I once prepared another type of tango quiz, for my local teachers: I danced (with the female teacher) four patterns that I had learned with four teachers from the CITA and they had to guess who taught what. They identified the Pulpo routine very quickly, and also the Gavito one (right from the abrazo!)
